Getting Started: Becoming a Knowledge Enabled Organization – An Applied Approach
Presented by Thomas Tong, CCMD offers an innovative workshop on Knowledge Management (KM) from a practical and applied perspective. This one day workshop is designed to provide you with critical skills, processes, and tools that will allow you to turn learning into knowledge. In addition, this workshop will create shared understanding and alignment around knowledge management, develop a common language to communicate complex ideas, and foster strong conversations around the value within your organization.
By the end of the workshop, individuals will be able to train others on the skills and processes necessary to manage learning and knowledge. In addition, participants will have a clear picture of how a knowledge-enabled organization functions – and how each component of people, processes, and technology are designed and linked together. Equally important, each person will have the capacity to answer fundamental questions, and begin to explore possible avenues of how KM and learning could strengthen their organization and contribute to higher performance and excellence.
Below is a list of areas that will be covered:
An overview of what KM can do for you and your department
An education on basic KM principles
